Applications and Sheriff’s Consent Form for the Background Check can
\nbe turned in at the Honey Bowen Building on Fair Road in Statesboro
\nMondays – Fridays between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 pm.

Please read the following very carefully:
\nALL COACHES MUST BE CERTIFIED PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SEASON!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

All coaches will be baseball\/softball certified under NYSCA (National Youth Sports Coaches Association).\u00a0 There will be a video tape portion and a hands-on clinic for certification.\u00a0 Both\u00a0<\/u><\/strong>segments must<\/u><\/strong> be completed in order to be certified.<\/span><\/p>\n

IF:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>You were NYSCA certified in baseball\/softball last season.
\n<\/span>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 All you are required to do this year to continue your certification is sign a copy of the
\nCoaches\u2019 Code of Ethics.\u00a0 It is mandatory that all coaches attend the hands-on clinic.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. You are currently NYSCA certified in another sport (basketball\/football).<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. You do not need to attend the video clinic, however you must attend the hands-on clinic in order to be certified to coach baseball\/softball.\u00a0 (If you are not sure of your certification status, please call Mitch Stafford or Dadrian Cosby at 764-5637.)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      \n
    1. You are not<\/u><\/em><\/strong> currently NYSCA certified.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. You must attend the hands-on clinic and<\/strong> only one of the video clinics.\u00a0 Attendance is not optional if you wish to coach.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
