Tennis Court Locations

You can now enjoy tennis at three Statesboro-Bulloch Parks and Recreation facilities. Tennis Courts are located at the new Mill Creek Park Tennis Complex, at the Sue Oertley Courts on Fair Road in Statesboro and at the Brooklet Recreation Facility in Brooklet.

Tennis Court Rules

Mill Creek Tennis Complex is open to walk up play from 6 am until midnight. The Pro Shop hours are located below.

Sue Oertley Court Facility hours are from 6:00 AM until midnight, Monday-Sunday.

Standard acceptable playing time is 1 ½ hours per court.

Courts are available for rent. $3 for one hour, if lights are needed; $1.50 for 30 minutes, if lights are needed.

SBCPRD programs take precedence over walk up play.

Youth Lessons

Players learn the basic fundamentals, improve overall tennis abilities and
develop competitive skills for match play.
Lessons include singles & doubles play, rules, and good sportsmanship.

Classes are taught year-round in Statesboro and Brooklet.

All lessons and leagues are played at the Mill Creek Tennis Complex unless noted otherwise. Tennis supervisor is Ronald Smith

High School Invitational Tennis Tournament

The Statesboro-Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department and Statesboro High School hosted the 2nd Annual High School Tennis Invitational Tournament earlier at the Mill Creek Park Tennis Complex.

Teams from Statesboro High School, Bulloch Academy, Effingham County High School, and Screven County High School competed in this Georgia High School Association (GHSA)-sanctioned tournament, with Statesboro High School being the host school.

Adult Tennis Tournament

SBCPRD’s fourth annual Adult Tennis Tournament will be held this Spring!

May 14, 2016 (possible May 15 IF necessary for final matches; May 21 rainout date)
9 am start
$20 per player ($5 late fee if you register on May 14)
includes a tennis tshirt. Prizes and trophies will be awarded to finalists.

Men & Women Singles Ages 18 and over.
Each age group will have two divisions: Intermediate & Advanced
Format: Best 2 out of 3 sets (Super Tie-breaker to 10 points in place of 3rd set prior to finals)
Consolation Bracket for first round loss.
Includes Tennis Tshirt. Prizes and trophies will be awarded to finalists.

King and Queen crowned for each age group: Ages 5-8 yrs ; Ages 9-12 yrs ; Ages 13-16 yrs ; Ages 17+
